Hi everyone,
Last winter was the first time in ten years that I didn’t go to the Sahara Desert to spend a heart-opening week with 25 people under the stars.
I missed it so much.
Back in 2011, when I first began making retreats in the Sahara Desert in Morocco I really had no idea what I was doing. I thought it would be a bunch of travellers telling tales from the road in the sand dunes. It was the Road Junky Retreat, after all.
Instead, people came with their life stories, their pain, their hopes - and we learned to create a space where we could let down our defenses, allow our masks to fall away and meet one another with authenticity and lightness of heart.
I’ve seen so many people make such profound changes to their lives during the yoga, meditation and dance retreats in the desert. There’s no dogma or spiritual teaching - rather people can work on things in their own way, in their own time.
I can’t wait to get back there.
I hope some of you can make it, too.
Tom Thumb
